Description
Quonset huts used to be numerous in Alaska; they were built quickly and were very sturdy. I often attended school in quonsets, in Whittier and Anchorage. keywords: KEYWORDS

very nice, love the sky! At the Univ. of California, San Diego, our campus, Warren College, part of their buildings, including our cafeteria were Quonset huts, left over from when the military was stationed there.
Teresa Ascone replied:
Audrey, there are a lot of quonsets still in Alaska. On and off I attended school in quonsets.
